2025 National Women’s Month Celebration
TESDA PTC-Tarlac’s celebration of National Women’s Month in March 2025 was a vibrant and meaningful event that truly honored the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” The institution’s efforts to highlight gender equality and empowerment through various activities reflect a strong commitment to fostering inclusivity and recognition of women’s contributions across all sectors.
The observance began with a visually engaging display, with tarpaulins hung throughout the campus to set the tone. The launch, marked by the flag-raising ceremony, underscored the solemnity of the occasion. Acting Center Administrator Engr. Alvin T. Castro’s inspiring speech emphasized the significance of gender equality and celebrated the invaluable achievements of women in society.
The initiatives led by GAD Focal, Ms. Nelly Ann S. Blanche-Olidar, ensured that the month was filled with diverse and engaging activities. These included:
- Film Showing: A way to highlight gender-related issues and inspire reflection.
- Zumba: Promoting wellness and unity through fitness.
- #PurpleFridays: Encouraging participation and awareness through a color-themed activity.
- Earthquake Drill: Demonstrating the institution’s commitment to safety and preparedness, ensuring everyone’s well-being.
- Food Processing by Fermentation and Pickling: A practical, hands-on activity that empowered individuals with valuable skills, particularly for women who may seek entrepreneurial opportunities in food preservation.
- Information Distribution: Disseminating materials related to women’s rights, supporting women’s empowerment, and reinforcing the need to stand up for gender equality.
Through these collective efforts, TESDA PTC-Tarlac’s National Women’s Month Celebration not only highlighted gender equality but also reinforced the institution’s commitment to building a fair and equitable society, where all women are celebrated and empowered to thrive.
