Community-Based TVET (CBTVET) Program for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) Beneficiaries Tarlac City Jail-Male Dormitory, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology
The TESDA Provincial Training Center (PTC)–Tarlac conducted a 10-day Community-Based Training Program (CBTP) in Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) for twenty-five (25) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Tarlac City Jail–Male Dormitory, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Brgy. Baras-Baras, Tarlac City.
The activity was conducted in partnership with the Tarlac City Jail–Male Dormitory, headed by JCINSP Delight Mamilig-Ercilla, to provide PDLs with practical technical skills that may support their rehabilitation, productivity, and future employment or livelihood opportunities. PTC-Tarlac provided the necessary training modules, equipment, learning resources, and competency assessment services to ensure effective training delivery.
Mr. Jojo Jaen, facilitated the training and provided the participants with both theoretical and practical instruction in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. A total of 25 PDLs received free training and competency assessment, providing them with an opportunity to acquire relevant skills that can contribute to their self-reliance and successful reintegration into their families and communities.
The activity was supported by Mr. Leonardo R. Tabamo, Center Administrator of TESDA PTC–Tarlac, and the personnel of the Tarlac City Jail–Male Dormitory. The program demonstrates TESDA’s continuing commitment to providing inclusive and accessible skills training to PDLs and other underserved sectors.
