TESDA PTC–Tarlac Conducts Livelihood Training for Indigenous Peoples in Bamban
On August 18, 2026, the TESDA Provincial Training Center–Tarlac conducted a Livelihood Training on Liquid Soap-Making and Cupcake decoration-making for the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of Barangay Sto. Niño, Bamban, Tarlac. The activity aimed to equip the participants with practical skills that could support household needs and provide opportunities for additional livelihood.
The training was facilitated by Mary Grace Ocasion, Eloisa Soriano and Ann Josell Hipolito with the presence and support of TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director Maria Andaya-Roque and CVS Vocational School Administrator Dr. Consolacion A. Talisik. The activity was made possible through the coordination of Dr. Irene B. Taborlupa, Supervising TESD Specialist of TESDA Provincial Office, in collaboration with Ms. Joy Rafael of PESO-Bamban and Engr. Michael Lugma of the Municipal Agriculture Office.
The participants underwent a demonstration and hands-on activity covering the proper preparation, mixing, handling of materials, and safety precautions in liquid soap-making and cupcake decoration-making. The activity provided the beneficiaries with practical experience and basic knowledge that may be applied for personal use or as a potential source of income.
Overall, the activity was successfully conducted and strengthened the collaboration among TESDA Provincial office, PTC-Tarlac, Concepcion Vocational School, local government offices, and the IP community in providing accessible skills training and livelihood opportunities.
