The Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines (CCBP) and TESDA Project dubbed as Sari-Sari Store Training and Access to Resources (S3TAR) Program aims to benefit women owner and operators of small sari-sari stores (SSS).
In Central Luzon, at least 4,000 women from Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Tarlac shall become direct beneficiaries. It took effect thru a memorandum of agreement signed by CCBP executives, Provincial Directors of the four provinces, local chief executives, and selected women organizations.
The program represents CCBP’s high regard to women as potential engines of economic and community development . It aims to transform women SSS owners into better entrepreneurs by providing training on Basic Entrepreneur Skills and Gender Sensitivity, access to product capital and store merchandising equipment.
On the other hand, the program upholds TESDA’s mandate to provide quality and gender-sensitive training to Filipinos. TESDA-III shall deliver the basic entrepreneurship training.
