Tesda Tarlac Goes Live Radio
TARLAC CITY, Tarlac- TESDA Tarlac headed by Provincial Director Engr. John B. Adawey went for a live radio interview on May 19, 2022, over DZTC 828 KHz at Broadcasting Center, McArthur Highway, San Nicolas, Tarlac City.
Present were Rudolph John A. Zerrudo, Senior TESD Specialist from Provincial Office and Franklin M. Macasaquit, TESD Specialist II/ Information Officer from Provincial Training Center- Tarlac.
During the interview, Mr. Zerrudo expounded on partnerships with around 54 technical vocational institutions (TVI) to deliver Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Scholarships over different modalities, such as: School Based Training, where scholars train with private and government-run TVIs on their chosen qualifications; Center Based Training, where scholars are trained at TESDA Administered Technical Institutions (TTI); Enterprise Based Training, where scholars are trained on site, with sub-modalities on – Learnership for less than three months of training; Apprenticeship for four to six months of training; and Dual Training System for longer than six months of training.
Meanwhile, Mr. Macasaquit introduced all the qualifications/ courses offered by the PTC- Tarlac along with the Construction, Metals and Engineering, and Health Sectors. He also elaborated on the days of training for the different qualifications and the modality used in the training.
Assessment and Certification were also tackled during the interview, especially for the skilled workers/ OFWs’ who want to have their national certificate used for their employment.
Scholars’ benefits included the PHP 160/day Training Support Fund, PHP 500 Internet Allowance, PHP 500 Personal Protective Allowance, and PHP 500 Uniform Allowance.
The event ended with encouragement from TESDA personnel to all Tarlakenyos who want to enroll and have skills in TESDA.
